Dear Wholesale Customers,

I do want to thank all of you that were able to attend our “meeting and event” this past June 2019, that was held at TopGolf.  We were fortunate to line up a speaker from the Secret Service, from Gilbarco pumps and one from Wayne pumps.  The information presented to us was centered around credit card skimming at the pumps, fraud liability shift and pump EMV compliance.  The speakers informed us as to the risks each store is facing along with some solutions and goals to move forward with in the coming weeks and months.  As we learned, these risks are only going to increase as we move toward the liability shift date.  I trust that those in attendance had many of their questions answered and are moving forward on any actions needed at their sites.

For those unable to attend or if you need further information, I have included two links below that should help you further educate yourself.  Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any assistance.  Most importantly, I wanted to remind everyone that the liability for payment fraud at the pump will shift to your store on October 1, 2020.

This date may seem like a long way off, but please keep in mind lead times for equipment that needs to be ordered, as well as, scheduling constraints for any site work.  As we move closer to the October 1, 2020 date, I anticipate longer lead times for site work to be done.  The equipment will potentially take longer to get in, as well as, the overall industry has a limited amount of service techs capable of doing the upgrade work.

Thanks again for your business.  I look forward to working toward this deadline with you.
