In 1968, Vulcan Oil was founded right here in Alabama by four families that came together to help meet the needs of their community. Today, the company is still owned by the Armstrong Family.
Vulcan Oil currently distributes gasoline, diesel and kerosene fuel to customers throughout Alabama and the Florida panhandle. From the busy streets of Birmingham and Huntsville to the idyllic countryside of the Black Belt, all the way down to the sandy shores of the Gulf Coast, Vulcan Oil supplies convenience stores with a constant commitment to excellence.

I began my time at Vulcan with an initial emphasis on environmental compliance issues related to underground storage tanks. I added equipment maintenance and capital project management to my duties shortly thereafter. I have since overseen significant growth in the volume of fuel distributed by the company along with several multisite acquisitions. I have also been able to secure new branded supply contracts with ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco and other major suppliers in this area. I currently spend a significant amount of time working with our branded suppliers in implementing new brand initiatives, as well as, adding additional branded business. I enjoy working with our customer account managers to provide timely and competent service to our large network of dealers in order to help them reach their full potential in regards to the fuel business.


As a member of the management team at Vulcan Oil since 2015, I have over 30 years of financial, accounting and management experience in the oil industry. Among my core responsibilities are the oversight of the accounting functions, ensuring the integrity and presentation of our financial statements, and directing the capable staff that support and serve our customers. Prior to my tenure in the oil industry, I spent over 10 years managing the compensation and benefits department of a large Knoxville, TN company, which serves me well as I manage the payrolls and benefits at Vulcan. I am driven to use my experience and the resources available to me to ensure that both Vulcan Oil and our large number of diverse and hardworking customers are as profitable as possible.


I have worked in the petroleum transportation industry for over 25 years. I have been the Transportation Manager at Vulcan since 2006. My responsibilities at Vulcan include scheduling deliveries, managing prices, hiring drivers and overseeing our truck fleet. I also work with both the branded and unbranded suppliers in regards to product availability and allocation. I recently began working with one of our supplier partners in regards to our pipeline transportation business.


I started my career 27 years ago with Vulcan Oil Company. I have worked in many different areas of the business during those years. I am currently the Customer Account Manager for North Alabama. My primary responsibility is to help my customers manage the petroleum side of their business. I manage gasoline pricing, branding programs and incentives, and handle gas equipment maintenance issues.
One of the most rewarding responsibilities I have is bringing new retail locations and customers to the Vulcan Oil network. I feel that my experience in this industry has enabled me to create a true partnership between Vulcan Oil and our customers that is beneficial to both parties. One thing I have learned over the years is that the petroleum business is constantly changing and highly competitive, but Vulcan Oil’s unwavering commitment to provide knowledge, support, and excellent customer service to our customers has never changed.


In my earlier years in the workforce, I spent time at various companies including several in the financial industry in a variety of administrative roles. I became a licensed realtor in 2017 working mostly with residential sales in Tuscaloosa and west Birmingham areas. I joined Vulcan Oil Company in 2022. My experience as a realtor, working with clients who were buying or selling a home, provided a great foundation from which I now serve Vulcan’s customers in the convenience store business. I am equipped and focused on helping our customers with their fuel supply needs and the challenges of running a business. Presently, I service over 65 convenience stores in the central part of Alabama, with the majority of them being branded and wholesale customers. I am also highly motivated to add new wholesale locations in central Alabama to our network of convenience stores. Prior to entering the fuel marketing side of the petroleum industry, I spent 20 years in outside sales and sales management in the steel fabrication of underground and aboveground storage tanks for the petroleum industry. My territory included over half of the United States and afforded me the opportunity to work closely with individual convenience stores, industrial applications, and field erected steel storage tank farms for major oil companies.
After a brief retirement, I entered the fuel marketing side of the petroleum industry in 2021. I joined Vulcan Oil Company in 2024 as a Customer Account Manager and am focused on adding new customers to our network of wholesale convenience stores in the eastern and southern parts of Alabama and in the Florida panhandle.
